USA Noise Control LLC. was founded by Jeffrey M. Komrower. Mr. Komrower holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a M.S. in Ocean Engineering from Florida Atlantic University. Mr. Komrower has over 44 years of experience in the noise and vibration field and has been the project manager for noise control efforts on US Navy Aircraft Carriers and for the Bureau of Reclamation Hydroelectric Powerplants including the Grand Coulee Powerhouses and Hoover Dam Powerplants. Mr. Komrower also has extensive experience in investigating and solving noise problems in commercial factories and facilities as well as environmental noise issues. He has served as an expert witness in hearings related to noise complaints as well as a consultant for the development of noise ordinances for towns and municipalities. Prior to founding USA Noise Control, Mr. Komrower spent 13 years as a Senior Engineer and Project Manager at Noise Control Engineering, LLC (NCE).
Before joining NCE, Mr. Komrower worked for 16 years as a Senior Technical Specialist and Account Manager at LMS North America (now a Siemens Division). He provided support in the areas of general NVH, modal testing and analysis, correlation with finite element models, rotating machinery, acoustics, and vibration control. Before joining LMS, Mr. Komrower was the Manager of Testing and Consulting Services for Zonic Corporation. There he was involved in numerous programs including data acquisition for the SMIS program (Shuttle Modal Inspection System) at NASA's Kennedy Space Center and the determination of the cause of excessive vibrations in nuclear power plants which included the use of laser vibrometry.
Previous experience has also included Project Manager/Senior Engineer at NKF Engineering where he was involved in US Navy and DOD programs for the structural testing and analysis and shock response of submarine and shipboard structures and components. This included full scale shock testing of the USS Yorktown (CG 48) and the underway vibration surveys of the USS Observation Island. Mr. Komrower also worked at General Dynamics Electric Boat Division where he was involved in many aspects of submarine silencing and validating performance specifications with Applied Mechanics Group, Nuclear Sound and Vibration and Nuclear Fluid Systems Group.
